Upgrading an Older Version of ALM to a New Version
Issue Summary:
Some upgrades require first upgrading to an intermediate step before making the final upgrade to the desire version.
Here is a list of the upgrade steps:
From version 11-11.52 Upgrade directly to ALM 12.01
QC 10 Upgrade to ALM 11.52, then to 12.01
QC 9.2 Upgrade to ALM 11, then to ALM 12.01
QC 9.0 Upgrade to QC 10, then to ALM 11.52, then to ALM 12.01
For Performance Center:
PC 11-11.52 Upgrade directly to ALM 12.01
PC 9.51 Upgrade to ALM PC 11.52
PC 9.5 and earlier Upgrade to PC 9.51, then ALM PC 11.52, then ALM 12.01
This means that if you wanted to upgrade from QC 9 to ALM 12.01 you would need to:
1. Upgrade QC 9 to QC 10
2. Upgrade QC 10 to 11.52
3. Upgrade 11.52 to 12.01
This is something to be aware of for bidding time needed for upgrades.
