Issue:

When a user selects a test in Test Plan module and selects the Test Script Tab, a Fatal Error occurs. 

"Performance Center has encountered a fatal error. Problem encountered when application tried to connect to data base: failed OpenConnection: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication.Login failed. The login is from an untusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication."


 

In addition, the SQL Database server shows the following error in the event log. 


SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x8009030c, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason: AcceptSecurityContext failed. The Windows error code indicates the cause of failure. The logon attempt failed   [CLIENT:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]


In the security logs, an audit was discovered: 


Authentication Package:  MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0


Logon Account:  IUSR_METRO


Source Workstation:  SERVERNAME


Error Code:  0xC0000064


The USER Name should NOT be IUSR_METRO


Solution: 

In IIS, ensure the Sites Virtual Directories Anonymous Authentication is set to the user you want to use. 


If it is NOT set to the user: 

In the Performance Center Server installation's bin directory, open the System IdentityUtility (/bin/IdentityChangerUtil.exe) and change the user name.
