Accessing ALM 11.0 on Windows 7 64-bit with Internet Explorer 9.
Issue Summary:
Attempting to access ALM 11.0 an infinite loop asking to download ALM-Platform-Loader.11.cab. Once installed it instantly ask to install the Platform loader again, over and over again. The same machine had connected previously to ALM without any problems.
Steps To Fix:
Determined that IE 9 will only work with ALM if it is running the 32-bit version of IE. Even inside a 64-bit system.
To open the 32-bit version of IE, go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Verification:
Once IE 9 32-bit is open, navigate to the ALM server to verify that fixes the connection problem.
